Facebook Act of Shame!

Distractions

I actually never do this. I don't know if anyone else does. But the fact is that I did it. And you know what, it made me realise something. The truest beauty in the world are all its distractions. Be it babes on the beach, dudes on the street, kids in the backyard & strangers on Facebook. They make you do things that you normally never would. And nothing's more beautiful.

This is what I wrote to someone today:

I’m sorry but I really never do this often i.e. Messaging random strangers, compliment them in hopes of getting the in bed with me.
(Well, only the latter part of that statement in true)

But really,
You have beautiful eyes.

I'm sure you have heard this compliment tons of times before. But in all honesty, the number of times you have and/or will hear it is one time less than what those stunning eyes deserve.

Absolutely stunning!

Here I was, sitting prettying, merrily typing away in making an internet presentation on Sunday afternoon when I stumbled upon your profile.

Then. Sudden. Distraction!

An no ordinarily distraction. More like divine intervention. You know one of those momentary bolts of universal alignment. When the weather becomes perfect, you feel you healthiest and the right MP3 starts playing. Yes. I just had that moment. This message came right-out of that moment. The world is more beautiful because of distractions like your eyes. They make people stop, sit, stare & share that one of those perfect moments in life.

I hope you are well. And please don’t blink much.

Love.

A

So there you go. I lovingly hope this was a distracting to you.

Don't Fake it if you didn't Make it!

Because sometimes its just not worth it to face-off.

Crazy new ad-campaign by Chevrolet Service Centers emphasizing everybody not to mess and/or try to take credit of things that they didn't make. I say, 'nuff said!

1 Can't Speak French

Girls Aloud's new single - Can't Speak French

Elections Aloud?

Today, I woke up & decided that this will be the day to make my blog public. What better day to do so than the day of Pakistan's Elections & the release of Girls Aloud's new single, I Can't Speak French. A frivolous comparson? TH1NK again!

It's all about brands & word-of-mouth.
It's all about Pop-Culture.
Repackage, Re-brand & Re-sell.

Girls Aloud is a manufactured brand bourne out of a UK reality TV-Show. Members have joined & left, yet the b(r)and has remained intact with a feat of consecutive Top-10 singles. Not too different a story from the Pakistani Electoral Nominees. Nawaz Sharif re-branded to be the Tiger after his differential brand-values segregated him from his parent-brand that is Muslim Leauge - Q, which remains the old faithful Bicycle. I'm not going to go all politolicious by going into the details of masterfully how the PPP realigned its Arrow after the demise BB (Benazir's Bow). Nor am I going to touch the sheer height of the MQM's Kite in Pakistan, whose runner isn't even inside the country...

The 'Arrow' Brand of PPP

Such is the power of brands. People may come and go, but we still love (or hate) brands. They unify us. They untie us. They make us gawk & talk. Such is the power word-of-mouth. Political or musical, its how Bands are made. Brands are made. Blogs are made. E.g. Toast Bread, Kiss & Roll - French or not, brands are all about the Word-of-Mouth baby. So is this blog.

And if you don't my language, pardon my french. Because:

I can’t speak French, So I’ll let the funky music do the talking talking
I’m in deep friend, So I’ll let the funky music do the talking now
I gotta let you know, I wanna give in to my temptation
And let my feelings show, I gotta let you know

Because how on earth could I bring Pakistani Elections & Girls Aloud together. Because that's the Beauty of Brands.
Because 1 Can't Speak French.

But brands do.

French, English, Urdu to you.

Speaking of Curves...

No Cuts or Crops. Just Curve & camera - The new Facebook Photo

Tired of Reaping Crops

I was to be honest. No offence to any photographers or photo-shoppers out there, I am one AND two put together, but I just got tired of all those hyper-edited profile photos. So I just took a random photo with a camera and put it up. This whole 'Facebook Photo' fad is a revolution in its own right really. Surprisingly, I can't seem to remember the reason I took photographs for before.

I heard about Life imitating Art. Now, welcome technology!
